Android app very slow, can't keep up with my strokes

When I’m writing with raw squigs, I have to write very slowly for the app to capture my strokes. Also, I will make the same stroke 2 or 3 times before it will recognize it, but if I go slowly it “sees” it better.

I’m using v2.1.2 on Android 6.0.1

Writing can be a bit slower with raw squigs on compared to without, however it’s something we’re hoping to improve as more optimizations are made with each patch.

Would you be able to let us know what device you’re using?

I also noticed you mentioned you’re on 2.1.2, I recommend updating to the latest beta version (2.3.5).

Hi, I’m using a note 4. I’ll update to the new beta and see how that goes.

Writing on the Android app (non-beta) is very smooth. That is, until you add new words, then it immediately starts lagging heavily. A simple restart of the app is all I need to get the smooth behavior back.

I observe the same behavior from time to time on my Xiaomi Mi 5 even without raw squigs. Restarting the app usually helps.

+1 on my Motorola Moto-G. Never used raw squigs but the Android Beta app really creaks sometimes, becoming very jerky, and this is fixed by restarting my phone.
