It looks like Hong Kong restricts subscription purchases when using the Google Play balance: https://support.google.com/googleplay/answer/6080850?hl=en
These can be purchased with the Google Play balance from HK:
-Apps, Books, Movies
-Maximum limit: $16000 (HK$)

Just tried using PayPal from the website, however I have a similar issue since I don’t have a credit card tied to it. Any chance I can make a PayPal transfer in exchange for gift credits or smth?
Credit Cards just aren’t as common here =)
