If the long-term ROI is negative, you stop doing it. A sustained negative ROI is what closes companies…you don’t do it unless you are doing it as charity.
And I do understand the point of HTML5 is to consolidate the “I” in ROI so that there is long-term profitability.
The point of my original post was to get a better of understanding of the thinking behind the business plan direction, and @SkritterJake gave a good synopsis of their thinking. I deal with multiple variants of parallel workstreams at work, and they can be frustrating.
