Does deleting word lists delete words?

I am a long-time user and need to clean up my too many and cluttered word lists, some of which are repetitive.

If I delete some of my old word lists, will that also delete the words they contain from my review, either in study or advanced modes?

Yes. If you delete a list that you’re studying from it will remove those items from your review queue unless those words are being added by another word list.

Thanks. That means I need to consolidate instead of deleting.
