New Chinese character?

My phone doesn’t recognise this one!

I think very few input methods have caught up yet, perhaps it will be gone again before they do. Or it will be part of the official language in a few hundred years. Time will tell! It’s interesting that this has received so much attention in the West, though, it seems like many of the major newspapers all have their own article about this.

That character is displayed as a JPEG image. It has no place in the Unicode. So it can’t be displayed as a normal character by any phone.

What does that character mean? May be the following can give one a hint. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GFYx5CandDs
