Apparently a new syllabus for the HSK3.0 test has been published and there has been big changes between the HSK 3.0 and what some people are now calling 3.1. For example, level 1 has now only 300 words, not 500.
I found a github page that can easily be used for creating new decks.
Thank you for pointing this out! We will address this, but unlike last time, I think it’s good to be a bit cautious and wait until we actually have the tests. At the moment, people preparing for tests should probably use the old 2.0 lists anyway, and when we get closer to the new tests rolling out, we’ll make sure to create good decks as well.

Bumping this thread as it is now July and the new tests are mandatory. Are there any plans to update the HSK decks to match the 3.1 vocabulary?

As far as I can tell, HSK 1-6 are still using the 2.0 curriculum and will keep doing so for some time. This is the latest statement on the official Hanban website:

注意：本次考试为HSK3.0试行考试，目前2026年常规考试日期仍执行2.0版，HSK3.0考试正式开考时间另行通知。
The key part is the last paragraph, which, translated into English, reads:
Note: this exam is an HSK 3.0 trial exam. At present, the regular 2026 exam dates still follow version 2.0. The official start time for HSK 3.0 will be announced separately.”
They keep changing both the content and timeline for HSK 3.0, and there is little point in creating lists that might not even match the final version. As soon as we know for sure when the new curriculum will roll out officially, we’ll create the decks; don’t worry!
It seems December 13th 2026 is the date. I doubt the syllabus is changing anymore.
Also the new HSK 4上 course book is already out, and 4下 is coming out next month. I’m hoping we can at least get timely decks for each of the course books as they are gradually coming out.
Yup. They’ve locked in a date, and new official course materials are continuing to come out.
Purple Culture has the New HSK Course 4B on pre-order and will start shipping them on Oct. 15th. I’m ordering both 4A and 4B at the same time and we’ll get both uploaded.
Similar to New HSK 1-3 books, we’ll put them into the Featured area of the app, add them to our content categories, and included them in our monthly newsletter.
If you’ve already got the books in your hands a custom study deck is still the best way to create (and study) exactly what you want from these books.
Now that they’ve officially put a 正式开考 date out there, we’re bumping up priority of getting 2026 editions of the HSK 3.0 decks made (Skritter-style).
Similar to the 2021, we’ll have the Skritter official decks along with the character writing decks.
