I was wondering how many kanji had full drawing support. Obviously the listed decks only contain so much, but how many are supported for a user list?
Hi, we currently support writing on more than 3,800 individual Japanese characters, which obviously form together into hundreds of thousands of Japanese multi-character words which you can write on Skritter. User-created lists have the same level of writing support as official lists. Additionally we’re working on overhauling our character creation tool to enable us to author new character data much faster.
Ok cool! So it seems it is fair to say that it covers what a well read Japanese person would know, but not most of esoteric stuff covered on the 漢字検定 level 1. That seems reasonable.
Yes, I’d say that’s an accurate assessment. If you’re close to taking the 1級, let us know and we’ll do what we can to accommodate.
Nope, at least not for a long time! I was just curious. Thanks for the offer though!
