Retention rate different on weekly to 7 day

Why is the retention rate different in the top bar to the bottom bar on weekly view? Shouldn’t they be the same?

Also I am only studying definitions.

The number at the top is for everything (all parts of all characters and all words), whereas the lower number is for the graph you have selected on the left hand side i.e. character writings, word tones, etc.
