I’m confused about how Recent Decks work.It seems to refer to which decks I most recently learned a word from. Would it make more sense if it refered to decks that I am currently reviewing? But it seems to be even more complex that that. I recently did a “Refresh Local Data”, and that totally changed my Recent Decks. I review the due words by deck, so it would have been very useful for me if the Recent Decks list contained the decks with cards that are currently due.
Hi there!
Yes, decks that you recently learned vocabulary from show up in Recent Decks. I will need to talk with the development team in our next support meeting to find out what other fields may make a deck show up in Recent Decks. Can you let us know which decks showed up that were a surprise after you refreshed local data? Thanks in advance!
There are two issues here. First of all, I personally think that it makes sense to make Recent also look at decks that have been reviewed. Otherwise, a deck at 100% will quickly disappear from the list, even though it may be a big deck that I keep reviewing, like one of the HSK decks.
Secondly, my list of Recenet decks is totally weird now. Last night I learned one word from four decks just to make them appear on the Recent Decks list. I worked fine last night. But today they are all gone, and are replaced by decks that I haven’t learned in a long time. Some of them I don’t think I’ve ever even opened, except that I saved them some time ago, and then some time ago I did a rejuvenate on all my decks. Specifically, Chinese surnames, Lunar New Year Phrases, Trigrams, Math and Skritter Character Course are not Recent in any way.
Yesterday I added four decks and did a rejuvenate. They then all appeared as the top four in Recent Decks. This morning, they were gone, replaced by the usual suspects Chinese surnames, Lunar New Year Phrases, Trigrams, Math and Skritter Character Course. This is clearly a bug. Could you please look into it? Thanks!
I have responded to your message in the inbox. Let us know if refreshing the local data does not resolve your issue.
