3.7.X Beta Release Megathread

Landscape mode is in the works. We’ve hired a proper designer for the project and are cleaning up project files before tackling this update. We can’t wait to get this up and running for tablets!

@SkritterJake I’d like to ask you to consider tablet differences for left-hand-writers (such as myself). Writing in landscape can be a pain if the UI inflexibly forces all the controls to be “reached over” because it assumes a workflow dedicated to right-handed people.

We’ve got two left-handed writers on the team so you’re in good hands

Incredible. You all consistently produce excellent work, on top of excellent communication, feedback, and overall service. S.D.G

3.7.4 (300575) Beta rolling out

  • Fixed a Continuous mode study bug causing auto-graded writing cards that were first marked incorrect and then manually marked correct to reappear in the queue shortly after.

  • Adjusted auto-grading sounds to be more consistent

  • Fixed a rare Progress screen loading issue reported by a Japanese user (we hope it helps a few others, too!)

Happy 2022, y’all! Just a few small updates in this patch while we prepare for bigger updates and version bumps in the future. Hoping to release this to production sometime early next week.

We’ve also added a new Year of the Tiger (2022) section with nine auspicious phrases you can impress your friends and family with here.

Happy skrittering!

@SkritterJake any details you can share about (bigger) upcoming updates/new features/design? Curious to hear more which path Skritter will take in the future as there haven’t been many big changes in the past.

Thanks in advance!

We’re working on UX/UI design updates and improvements at the moment along with a big round of third-party integrations. There are a lot of moving pieces happening right now and once we start rolling things out the updates and app releases will start moving at a good pace again!

It’ll all be worth the wait!
